Hemmets Veckotidning 1968: 'Singing Anni-Frid'

She has just started her voyage out into the bigh world, the parkt of it that's the folkoarks - it's an understandable match, it can propell the talented artist of the right calibre as far away as imaginable.

Anni-Frid Lyngstad is of the right knind. She has a natural style, a 'continental' look and a very nice figure.

She thinks before she talks in a low and mellow voice. The fact that she really can sing - even though she would go a far way by doing what some other gilrs do; gasp for air and then let it out as loudly as possible. With that look she could.

But that would not be her style. She is her hardest critic. She is very ambitious and self critical about what she does and is reallly is muscially talented.

At the age of 23 she has been a professional singer for 10 years! Yes, she actually started singing as a vocalist at the age of 13, which actually was against the law. And she made quite some good money back then, enough to put her through hight school. Eskilstuna is what she calles her "home town".

Narvik, Norway is where Anni-Frid was born but she moved to Sweden when she was only one year old.
