Picture from very early gig

Have a look at this! An amazing picture of ABBA (even though they weren't that called that yet) in 1971 (click to enlarge!). Back then every gig counted. This day, a Sunday, the 14th of March, the group appeared at the opening of a OK Service- and gasstation (OK is nowadays OKQ8) in Hammarby, Stockholm. Not as glamorous as it became later I guess. But they look like they had fun.  I believe it's Ola Brunkert who is sitting behind the drums, but maybe I'm wrong.

A month later Björn, Benny and Agnetha started their folkpark tour. Frida toured with Lasse Berghagen this summer. Notice the dress Frida is wearing, it's the same one she wore on the cover of this album.

"Alarmingly ageing"

On November 6, 1982 ABBA appeared on the Late, Late Breakfast show in the UK. The host, Noel Edmonds, asked them:
     - In what way would you say you have changed since those early days, the Eurovision Song Contest?
and Frida immediately replied with a laugh:
     - I am alarmingly ageing. Some of the journalists in the English press says that. The picture on the right and the quote comes from the excellent ABBA On TV site.

My new friend, T, from Gothenburg, (who recently has sent me a lot of articles which I will translate and publish here later on) met Frida and took this picture (click to enlarge). When she later got it signed by Frida she wrote:

"I had no idea I had so many beautiful wrinkles. Love, Frida"

Once again showed what a great sense of humour, and ability to poke fun at herself, she has. Great! Thanks to T for letting me use this picture here.

Agnetha met up with some friends

On the evening of 2 February Agnetha was out having dinner with some friends, among them Tomas Ledin (who she recorded the duet "Never Again" with in 1982) according to TV4. She went to the very fashionable restaurant PA&Co on Riddargatan in Stockholm. She was seen having some drinks with people like Tomas Ledin (who she recorded the duet "Never Again" with in 1982)  and Peter Le Marc. An eye witness said that she looked brilliant. After a couple of hours she went home in a taxi.

Good to see that she is enjoying herself and having a good time!
