Now this is the ABBA that I liked, and want to think about when I'm in the mood that needs to be cheered up. I hope that this continues to be an inspiration to others as well.

I love the fact that Agnetha is beginning to experiment hairstyles in different ways in a dramatic way.
This is exactly what Frida had always achieved throughout her life! Enjoying the fashion of hairstyles all the time.
It is a fun and joyful thing to do!

i agree about the hair changing styles, but its not easy for us blonde women lol, she started changing right before and after her and bjorn divorced, but still looked good in anyting, even my mom agreed when i talked with her.

Looks like a $10 buck perm to me!

They looked better with straight hair...
The perm just made them look strange.

pulling off a perm isnt easy, wasnt for me, i gone back to straight hair, agnetha always looked great with long straight hair, lol but the way she looks now is wonderful for her age, but since i am a child of the 70s, i love the long straight look agnetha had and i use to hate long hair so i kept it short all my life, but now that i am going to be 37 next month, i am growing my hair out, past my shoulders now, but the long hair looked cool then, but agnetha was going thru changes so she changed her hair styles.

"Mädel mach dir Locken sonst bleibst du hocken!"
You must have curl in this time, all have it . . . also boys!
This is the reason why, it was" in" . . .and that`s enough.
Today I wear two t-shirts on one top of each other and it`s absolute "in". My grandmother would say: what are you doing?
Thomas, today I`m the philosopher :o))

If you didn't have a perm in the early 1980s, you just weren't at the races. I love the relaxed goofiness of this pic.

Es ist nicht ein probleme, dir sind wilkommen. I am pleased to see us change roles. I like to view the silly side, and lighthearted side sometimes. If I was Mr Spock from Star Trek, I wouldn't be here at all, this is as much a girls as a guys blog.

arann, you should know better than believe everything you read.
I think Frida looks beautiful with any hair cause she has the wonderful face to back it up. :) what she is wearing is also cool
always ahead of her time. :D

I had those 80's perms also and they turned out just fine but the difference was what you would call a spiral perm which is for women with longer hair which I had in the 80's. Agnetha and Frida look just fine with thier hairstyle and clothing.

It wasn't a article I heard frida say she enived agnetha on a tv interview last year

It wasn't last year it was a few years ago on the abba documentary

Yep, it was in the documentary "The Winner Takes It All" - she was discussing B&B's decision to asign leadvocals based on the range and tone of the girls' voices. She said - with a little chuckle - "and sometimes I envied the choice of Agnetha, I must admit." It was quite charming.

It doesnt surprise me that she felt that way and I admire that she was honest about it. <3 And who knows if at some point aggy felt the same way. :)

When the value of a life is the sum the persons attainments mentally and physically, meaning their talents, deeds, etc, (the Romans, had a term I've liked "Dignitas," which means a persons word (honor), deeds, reputation, family, all in one word, they took this very serilously.) I take this topic very seriously; that being said, I will say for a long time during ABBA's run Agnetha may have had some of the more choice leads, Frida, was right about that. In as far as chops, vocal range, I would say it was a dead heat. As far as stage presence, and this includes choreography, she had the moves, and she put in the work. It shows with every video of them. About clothes, hair, looks, etc. I think really highly of them both, both. For their post ABBA era; who, (?) was more commercially successful, is a moot point. Who had more overall life success, meaning contentment, happiness, peace of mind, etc. I would say Frida, had longer periods of that, than Agnetha, but, since the GVDG fiasco, she's been doing well again as well.
