Micke you've given me lots of joy, and opportunites here to engage in great "give and take" banter. I hope that your shoulder will get right again, and your have a shorter convalesence than the last go around. I'm praying for you, Mate! This was one of the pictures that lend itself well to what I was saying earlier. It seemed in their evolution of costumes the girls looked like at times to me; post 79 tour costume design;they seemed as if they were uncertain in what direction to take, and appeared to be two actresses in a Soap Opera, or an Off Broadway production. Which was o.k. to me, as I never saw them in cocert which was more the pity. I always have been a Benny partisan because he always seemed to be an optimist that was upbeat no matter what happened. As long as he was playing he was "good to go."

Hold on tight, Micke, I'll be praying for you.
Tim, yes, Matt's mixes are the best I've ever heard. This guy is a true talent! I have quite a collection of ABBA mixes, but Matt's are the gems, really. He also did two Frida songs as a treat for all Frida fans :) Here they are, too, for Micke and everybody :)

"I always have been a Benny partisan because he always seemed to be an optimist that was upbeat no matter what happened"
The same thing can be said for Frida
but "seemed" doesnt make it a fact
who knows what when on behind closed doors
or why things happen
handsight is 20/20 so
is always good to keep an open impartialed mind.

I really don't see Frida as an upbeat optimist, I think she's very realistic and she doesn't take anything for granted. But - the trait I admire in her a lot! - she always try to think positive, to find her way out of no matter what's happening. I loved it when she said in one of her recent interviews, that she has no secret of how to fight those hardships, she just always knew one has to live against all odds, and one should keep this balance of good and bad things, because life is like that - today you win, tomorrow you lose, but it's always a lesson to learn.

Kate, you described and optimist :) and a strong, smart lady (love her interviews) but she is also upbeat, how else could she have lived the life she has? she loves to travel and is very social etc.

Just an opinion. ;)

Well, I'm not a native speaker, so probably I just didn't get it completely, O-O (should I call you that?). If what I described means an upbeat optimist, I'm absolutely ok with it :) The most important thing is, however, that no matter how we call it, we all feel inspired by this absolutely incredible lady and that she does help us to keep on moving :)
Lots of Love,
~kAte
PS: I've read tons of interviews (including everything on this blog) and I must admit it was exactly Frida's attitude to life that made me reconsider a lot of important things, change my life completely and, eventually, discover my true self. I've never ever regretted these changes :)

I agree. Frida reminds us of how beautiful it looks to be happy. :)
Kate, Are You olblackcat on Youtube? :)
