Robert Verbeek of ABBA Plaza fame has written a book about ABBA fandom. From his press release:
"What does it mean to be an ABBA fan? What was (and still is) the impact
on someone’s life? Some subjects covered in the book are: why is ABBA
so good, collecting ABBA items, creating websites, visiting fan club
conventions, releasing bootleg albums, meeting ABBA, working for ABBA,
editorials and much, much more.
It's a personal book about my ABBA fandom, but if you read it, it will remind you of the effect that ABBA has on YOU.
The
book will be available in English and in Dutch (title: ABBA & Ik).
It's a 15.6 cm x 23.4 cm paperback of 190 pages with a glossy full
colour cover and lots of photographs in black and white. The book will
be published in April 2008 and will be available through my ABBA Plaza
site. The proposed price is € 18 (excl. shipping and handling).
Are you curious yet? Feel free to read the previews here. "
Sounds like a very interesting book, Robert. I'm looking forward to reading it.

So great to find these fantastic news here at the brilliant "ABBA MIKORY"!!!! This book sounds really interesting and I have given my interest to both books (english & dutch) on ABBA Plaza. I am sure, it is nice to read, because it is written by a real fan and sure lots of feelings will mirror also mine. Cannot wait until its release!

Just have read the previews and could not stop reading. It is written in an english I understand without problems :o) and it is so interesting. I have no idea if other fans will also got the chance to write some impressions, I would love that.
I mean - just remember the day when in the german paper "Bild" was written that Agnetha and Björn got divorced - it was a line but for me it was a feeling as if a near relative has died. I was standing at the bus station for driving to school but afer reading these News I was just able to go back home and cry. Just one of so many memories...
I hope that the book will also get a german translation but can imagine that.
Best,
Thomas

Shame about the title, one of the worst English Grammar mistakes one could make - it is ABBA AND I

But as a standalone title, ABBA & Me sounds so much better than ABBA & I.
If it was "ABBA & Me went for a drive in the car" it would defintitely be wrong, but if it was "The Story of ABBA & Me" (which essentially it is) it's perfectly correct.
Do a quick search on IMDb for "& Me" and dozens of similar titles come up. Yeah, it doesn't necessarily make it grammatically correct, but it is an acceptable form.
